The modern care home has a slightly different mattress requirement to that of many hospitals. Issues include the effectiveness of side rails, height of mattress, dementia and that clients are smaller, lighter and possibly more susceptible to shear forces.
Apart from excellent pressure relieving qualities, the Sapphire has been designed to be very low maintenance and uses just a little electricity thus saving money in running costs.
